The opening line interested me, mostly on how it made the character seem as though he/she was forgetful about things, adding about an ounce of characterization to the narrator.

I loved the way you presented this kind of relationship in a light that didn't scream "adultery" while making it obvious that this relationship is anything but bad. It was a relationship meant to happen, despite circumstances.

The last line didn't make very much sense the first time I read the poem through, but after reading a few times, it does.
